Winter 2010 Closing Procedures
The following outlines the policies and procedures that apply to all non Pro Circuit, EASC, and sponsored non seasonal ladders on GameBattles. It is very important that you read and understand the following if you are planning to participate in the upcoming season and/or the current Winter 2010 season playoffs.

The Winter Season 2010 ends on March 31st, 2010 at 9:00PM EST. Shortly thereafter, the Spring Season 2010 will be launched site wide and you will immediately be able to play in the new season. All of your team's historical stats, roster and information carries over. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CREATE A NEW TEAM. However, you will still need to enroll your team in the new season.

For those interested in the playoffs:
  • The Official Roster Lock Date is Monday, March 15th, 2009 at 9:00 PM EST.
  • Roster changes including invites, gamertag and role changes will be prohibited, NO EXCEPTIONS, after this time.
  • Any player that is updated after the Roster Lock Date is ineligible for playoffs.
  • Your team must have played a minimum of 5 matches in the month of March to be eligible for Playoffs.
  • Minimum roster sizes per Ladder for your arena are posted below.
  • Teams created after the Roster Lock Date are not affected; however, they are also ineligible for playoffs.
  • Playoff Bracket sizes are also posted below.
Note: Playoffs are being ran on the main ladder of each game only and some doubles ladders. Meaning, team based games such as Call of Duty will receive a playoff for the Team Ladders. If you are a participant on a ladder that is not considered the main ladder for the game you play on or one of the few doubles ladders, the first place team at the end of the season will be considered the season champion and will receive an achievement.

Within the next 15 days, we will be releasing Playoff Rules and Settings along with Gametypes that will be used in Playoff Matches. Each playoff round will have predetermined gametypes that each team will have to play. Those specific gametypes will be released prior to the end of the season.

The bracket sizes and minimum number of required players, in detail, can be found here. If your team does not meet these requirements, your team will not be eligible to be seeded into the Playoff Brackets.

If teams cannot agree on the number of players in a match, the minimum number of required players will be used.

Remember, there are only limited playoff spots available, so get your final roster together and start battling!

Welcome to this week's Halo 3 Old Spice Swagger Series update!

Welcome to this week's Halo 3 Old Spice Swagger Series update! The Summer 2009 Season officially closes this Wednesday, September 30th. Only 64 teams will make the playoffs, and while there are still several lower seeds yet to be determined, it's the top seeds we're focusing on today. When all is said and done, the winner will walk away with a $3,000 grand prize. Here's a look at who will likely be included in the tournament!

Nothing Personal has dominated the ladder all season long, and with a record of 78 wins and just1 -- count it, one -- loss, they're a lock for the #1 seed. They've won 22 straight games and have shown no signs of slowing down. It would take a monumental performance by #2 ranked Gimme My Money to overcome Nothing Personal's 700+ XP lead by Wednesday. That being said, Gimme My Money is pretty much guaranteed the #2 seed. No. 3 ranked Four of a Kind have not lost in 39 matches this season and will definitely earn a Top 5 seed. At 132-22, UnKnowN WaRRioRS is currently ranked 4th overall, but inactivity over the last several weeks may keep them from the playoffs. If that is the case, #5 ranked Riot Gear (59-5) will take the #4 seed, and #6 Live In Color will move up to #5.

There are still two days left in the season, and a hand full of teams can easily secure a playoff spot if they play a match and get themselves off the inactive last. However, if things stand as is, it is likely that some big name squads such as Str8 Rippin (32-1), Aftermath (34-1), and Quit or Pwned (58-9) will be left out. UnKnowN WaRRioRS will finish the regular season with the most wins (132) regardless of whether or not they return to action for the playoffs. If they fail to qualify, Nothing Personal's 78 wins will be the most on the ladder -- deserving of a #1 seed.

Nearly 10,000 total teams registered to compete in the Old Spice Swagger Series this season, and it's a shame that it's all coming to an end so quickly! But the next few weeks of playoffs action are sure to be intense, and will definitely keep us interested. Check back in a couple weeks for a recap of the first few rounds of post-season play!
