Welcome to another Halo 3 Old Spice Swagger Series update!
Welcome to another Halo 3 Old Spice Swagger Series update! With the closing of the Summer 2009 Season just a couple weeks away, teams are really gunning for a high seed and an easier path to the championship. Only the Top 64 teams will make the post-season Playoff Tournament, and only one can take home the $3,000 grand prize! Here's a look at a few of the top contenders this season!
Nothing Personal, despite taking a few weeks off from competition, still holds the #1 spot by nearly 400 XP. With a record of 70 wins and just 1 loss, it's hard to count them out -- even if it has been a few weeks since they won their last match (their 14th straight). Second place currently belongs to
Gimme My Moneyyy, a team with 62 wins and just 4 losses. A six game winning streak has them within striking distance of Nothing Personal, but they've still got some work to do if they want to finish on top.
UnKnowN WaRRioRS is the only team on the ladder that has broken 100 wins -- 132 to be exact -- which helps to offset their 22 losses (most in the Top 25). Unknown Warriors sit comfortably in third place.
Riot Gear, 56-5, has climbed to the #4 position and lead #5 ranked
Quit or Pwned (58-9) by nearly 200 XP. However, Quit or Pwned have won 10 straight games and have shown no signs of slowing down, other than inactivity.
As mentioned earlier, UnKnown Warriors have the most wins on the ladder with 132. Nothing Personal comes in second in that category with 70. The longest active win streak on the ladder belongs to #6 ranked
InFamy, who have won 41 straight after starting the season 1-1. Oh, and we haven't forgotten about
Str8 Rippin -- they're still 32-1 and have won 27 straight games, but it's been some time since they've played a match. As a side note, inactivity could disqualify many top teams, including Str8 Rippin, from the post season tournament.
The playoffs are now just weeks away, and with so many top teams falling into the inactive category, there are several playoff spots up for grabs. Many teams on the bubble, including some undefeated teams such as
Sicker Than Yo Average (12-0) or
Aftershock (17-0), have been given a great opportunity to leap into and secure a playoff spot. We can't wait to see who prevails. One thing is for sure, it's going to be a fight to the finish, and you can follow it all at the
ladder standings page. Be sure to check back in a couple weeks as we gear up for the playoffs!
