The Call of Duty 4 Summer 2009 Season is well underway.
The Call of Duty 4 Summer 2009 Season is well underway, and it's time to get you caught up on how things have been going down so far. Over 11,000 teams have registered to play this season, but only the top 64 ranked teams will make playoffs. The season ends at the end of September; so there's plenty of time -- even for new teams -- to make a push at a playoff spot. Be sure to
register your team if you haven't already. Here's a breakdown of the rankings so far.
Pure Talent is having a very successful debut season, currently holding first place with a record of 109 wins and only 7 losses. They are in the midst of a 13 game win streak, and lead second place
FeaR by just over 200 XP. However, it is FeaR that has the Call of Duty community buzzing. FeaR finished the Spring season in 2nd place both in the regular season, and in the playoffs. Clearly they're looking for redemption as they're undefeated with an incredible 83 straight wins. Less than 100 XP behind FeaR is
ZeRo, another Spring playoff contender. ZeRo is currently 80-4 and have won three in a row.
Verdict is currently ranked 4th with 91 wins and 6 losses, while
Team Violent Apprehension is quietly having an incredible season themselves -- undefeated with 72 wins.
Fully Loaded Gaming, ranked 29th overall, has the most wins on the ladder so far with 148. That's 19 more than #10
Influential Gaming's 129. The best win streak on the ladder of course goes to FeaR with 83, followed by Team Violent Apprehension's 72, but
veXed is next on the list with 35 straight (35-0). In fact, seventeen teams have win streaks of 20 games or more. Just some final quick hits for those of you wondering: #200 ranked
Dont Beat Zebras has the most losses so far on the ladder with 87, and Spring 09 Champions
EnVyUs are currently ranked 38th with 52 wins and 4 losses.
It's obviously much too early to try to predict a favorite, but you have to admit: Team FeaR has been down right amazing so far. As has Team Violent Apprehension. About 2,000 XP seperates 1st place from 50th, and the only margin gets slimmer from there. With 64 playoff spots on the line, it's not too late to get involved yourselves. Check back in a couple weeks for another Call of Duty 4 Summer 2009 update!
