Winter 2010 Closing Procedures
The following outlines the policies and procedures that apply to all non Pro Circuit, EASC, and sponsored non seasonal ladders on GameBattles. It is very important that you read and understand the following if you are planning to participate in the upcoming season and/or the current Winter 2010 season playoffs.

The Winter Season 2010 ends on March 31st, 2010 at 9:00PM EST. Shortly thereafter, the Spring Season 2010 will be launched site wide and you will immediately be able to play in the new season. All of your team's historical stats, roster and information carries over. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CREATE A NEW TEAM. However, you will still need to enroll your team in the new season.

For those interested in the playoffs:
  • The Official Roster Lock Date is Monday, March 15th, 2009 at 9:00 PM EST.
  • Roster changes including invites, gamertag and role changes will be prohibited, NO EXCEPTIONS, after this time.
  • Any player that is updated after the Roster Lock Date is ineligible for playoffs.
  • Your team must have played a minimum of 5 matches in the month of March to be eligible for Playoffs.
  • Minimum roster sizes per Ladder for your arena are posted below.
  • Teams created after the Roster Lock Date are not affected; however, they are also ineligible for playoffs.
  • Playoff Bracket sizes are also posted below.
Note: Playoffs are being ran on the main ladder of each game only and some doubles ladders. Meaning, team based games such as Call of Duty will receive a playoff for the Team Ladders. If you are a participant on a ladder that is not considered the main ladder for the game you play on or one of the few doubles ladders, the first place team at the end of the season will be considered the season champion and will receive an achievement.

Within the next 15 days, we will be releasing Playoff Rules and Settings along with Gametypes that will be used in Playoff Matches. Each playoff round will have predetermined gametypes that each team will have to play. Those specific gametypes will be released prior to the end of the season.

The bracket sizes and minimum number of required players, in detail, can be found here. If your team does not meet these requirements, your team will not be eligible to be seeded into the Playoff Brackets.

If teams cannot agree on the number of players in a match, the minimum number of required players will be used.

Remember, there are only limited playoff spots available, so get your final roster together and start battling!

The Fall 2008 Super Smash Bros. Brawl Ladders, sponsored by Road Runner High Speed Internet, are well under way and nearing the home stretch. Let's check in on how the standings are sorting out. Remember, over $1,000 will go to the winners of both the Singles and Double Ladders! You can get all the details here.

Jumpman has surpassed former first-place holder JudgeMeow to take over the top spot on the ladder. He has168 wins to JudgeMeow's 189, and only two less losses -- 13 to 15, respectively. However, the momentum of Jumpman's 16 game win-streak has propelled him to the forefront. Just below them, Hailstorm sits in third place with 156 wins and 24 losses. Hailstorm was undefeated in the Summer 2008 Season going 52 - 0, proving that he is clearly an elite contender for the prize money. 14th place KingAce is an impressive 70-3, and will only get better.

On the Doubles Ladder, Team Smash has claimed the top seed, adding 51 wins in a row to their record over the last several weeks. They now have 104 total wins with only 6 losses, and are highly regarded as one of the favorites to win the competition. Allisbrawl's Finest have slid into third place, but are still undefeated at 42-0. The MC's of Smash have lost just three times in 33 games played, and much like other Top 20 teams, are still very much in the running.

Although Team Smash has a hefty lead on second place, it's the playoffs that count the most. The Fall 2008 Season ends December 31st, and the Top 32 teams (on each ladder) will be seeded into a playoff tournament to determine who the best Super Smash Bros Brawler is. Think it's you? There's still time to compete!
