Here's one arena you can't resist!

The Resistance 2 Winter 2009 Season is underway on the Playstation 3, and is beginning to prove to be a competitive arena which is likely to gain steam throughout the holiday season. Through next March, teams will be battling one another for a place on top of the heap, and ultimate bragging rights are on the line since this is the game's inaugural season, so be sure to join the competition. The competition has already begun their march toward the finish line, so don't delay!

Several competitors on the Team Ladder have gotten off to decent starts right off the bat. Team Conviction, led by Crazyshot99, has quickly risen to first place on a 5 - 0 start. However, second place Top Notch is right behind them at 4-0, with only 20 XP separating the two. Negative has also eclipsed the four-win mark, but has the only loss in the top 3 so far -- to a 2-0 Team [F][H]. Multiple other teams have begun on 2 or 3-0 streaks, but have yet to make their move for a top spot. The span between first and 15th place is less than 400 XP.

The Doubles Ladder has a little more action in the early stages. Chillin n Killin have won 11 of their first 12 matches, cementing them in first place for the time being. Not far behind (only 100 XP, in fact), 7-1 Primetime looks to continue their hot start and possibly surpass Chillin n Killin in the near future. Blood Brothers, winners of six straight, should not be overlooked either. They are in third place with a record of 6-1, having lost only their first match of the season. Teams like A Couple of Guys, Butta'sMile, and Washed Up should not be discredited either. They are all boasting very young undefeated starts to the season and once things pick up, they may be teams to look out for.

At this point in the season, it's way too early to call anybody a "favorite." Many of the teams mentioned above have impressed at the start, but it will be very interesting to see how things shape up in the coming weeks. With so much yet to be decided, we encourage you to sign up to compete for a shot at the title! Create A Team or Create a Doubles Team now!
