It has come time to put away the swim suits and sun tan lotion and say a final goodbye to the Summer 2008 GameBattles Season.  The Summer Season brought many memories, broke many records, and will be a season that will not be forgotten in the minds of our community.  But before you think that this is the end of a great story, remember that it is now time to write a new chapter in the history of GameBattles. That's right, the Fall 2008 season is here, and its bigger than ever!

Some of the most anticipated games in gaming history are set to release during the Fall 2008 Season:

Call of Duty 5: World at War
Gears of War 2
SOCOM: Confrontation

This season will quickly prove to be one of the most explosive seasons in GameBattles' history. You will see more prizes, more arenas and more opportunities to compete with gamers all across the country and the world.

To continue into the Fall 2008 Season, you must Enroll your current team. All of your roster and team information as well as match history will be saved and carried over!

Only the Leader may perform this enrollment. On the ladder standings page, where you would typically see a link to either 'Join this Ladder' or 'View your Team' will be a link that looks like this:

Simply click that and you're ready to go. A new set of seasonal statistics will appear on your team page, and you can start battling immediately!

Also, for the Fall Season, we have updated our Global Rules which can be found on all of the non-Pro Circuit ladders on GameBattles. Please review these prior to playing matches. Additionally, there will be no more 3v3 matches on any Team Ladder. The minimum across the site has been changed to 4v4. This change DOES NOT affect the playoffs.

Cross Regional Prevention

There have been many issues recently with players participating on regional ladders that they are not a resident of. This will no longer be tolerated both by our system and by our staff. Any team that is found to have players on their roster that are from a different region, will be given the automatic loss for that match, regardless of any proof submitted.

There is no longer any advantage to playing in cross regional matches, and you will only end up hurting yourself and the team that you are participating on.

This policy is in effect immediately, and affects all arenas with NA and EU ladders.
