Welcome to another GameBattles Sports update! Earlier this week, FIFA 10 finally released in the United States. The ladder will surely grow even more competitive now that players from both Europe and the US will be battling for the top ranks! Additionally, football season is nearing the halfway point, and hockey season is now in full swing -- expect both Madden NFL 10 and NHL 10 players to crank it up a notch over the next few weeks. They're going to need to if they want to stay on top!

Let's start with the Madden NFL 10 Ladder. The #1 ranked Lil Moorer, though idle for a few days now, has a 200 XP lead on second place and has recorded 97 wins and just 9 losses. The current #2 ranked player, BosS, has had a very impressive season so far, going 52-1 to this point. He's won 27 straight games, and despite having 40 less wins than Lil Moorer, it's very possible that BosS could move into first place before too long. Currently sitting in third place is DREAMKILLER. He is less than 20 XP behind BosS, and should also be considered a contender for the #1 spot. He has put up 90 wins with just 15 losses. Below DREAMKILLER is #4 ranked Robe983. Robe has put together a solid season thus far with 80 wins and 15 losses, and trails first place by 500 XP. A short win streak could propel him even higher in the ranks. Monster De is the current #5 with a record of 102 wins and 32 losses. He has the most wins in the Top 10, but also has the most losses. Still, his dedication is respectable and he is deserving of the #5 rank for now.

Now, on to FIFA Soccer 10! FinnY x currently rules the ladder with a record of 39-5, thanks in part to a 10 game win streak. However, his lead is very slim -- just 5 XP. Second ranked Proud Preston, who has put up 57 wins and only 5 losses, fell out of first place after losing his most recent match. BraZillian MaGiK is ranked #3 overall. He has won 50 matches while losing only 3, and has won 15 straight. He is less than 100 XP out of first place. iBenzema 10 has the most wins on the ladder so far with 101, and is ranked #4. His 27 losses have prevented him from claiming first place, but it's still early in the season. There's plenty of time for him to add to his win total. Legendsam, a FIFA veteran here on GameBattles, is ranked 5th overall. He has won 12 straight games, bringing his total record to 44-3.

Finally, let's hit the ice and check out the NHL 10 standings! Hannah Montana is the current #1 ranked player, having won 91 matches. His 17 losses are the most of any player in the Top 5, but are not enough to keep him out of first place. Reality Check, ranked #2, has gone 47-9 this season, including a 10-game-and-counting win streak. He trails first place by only a few hundred XP. ZnYp3 is ranked #3, but has proven that he is one of the best. He has won 40 matches and lost only once. He's currently riding an incredible 30-game winning streak. BL@CKHAWKS, 50-5, has won 4 straight and hopes to build on that streak to climb higher in the ranks. He is currently ranked 4th. Finally, ranked 5th overall is YUM YUM YUM, who has gone 33-1 so far this season. His 15 game win streak has him on the brink of passing BL@CKHAWKS -- but he's still a ways away from #1.
