Welcome to this week's GameBattles Sports update!
Welcome to this week's GameBattles Sports update! With the closure of the Fight Night 4 and MLB 09: The Show ladders in the rearview mirror, it's time to introduce some new arenas to our weekly update. While we'll continue to update you on the Madden NFL 10 Arena each week, this week we're going to update you on the FIFA 10 and NHL 10 PS3 Arenas! The seasons are already well underway, so let's jump right into it.
Oakland Blazers in 2010 still leads the Madden NFL 10 Ladder, now with 76 wins and only 17 losses.
JIGG NATION and
Camp 8 have trailed behind Oakland Blazers virtually all season long, and remain in second and third place respectively. JIGG NATION has record of 76-15 -- actually better than Oakland Blazers' record -- but trails the leader by nearly 300 XP. Camp 8 trails by roughly 400 XP and has won 51 times in 58 tries.
Big Vanilla Earthquake is once again ranked #4, and has won 54 matches and lost only 9. Clearly deserving of his "Top 5" status, Big Vanilla Earthquake has also been riding the top ranks all season long.
LAB2SICK has won four matches in a row to move into 5th place with a record of 40 wins and 8 losses.
Now, onto FIFA Soccer 10, one of our newly covered arenas. FIFA 10 releases in the USA later this month, but has already been purchased by millions overseas. So far,
Organiz Esport leads the way with 20 wins and 8 losses. He has accumulated nearly 1,400 points and leads second place
El Nino Pay by less than 40 XP, despite El Nino having a better record at 31-10. Third place
MOGO FC also has a better record than Esport: 25-8. He, however, trails by about 100 XP. The three of them have built a nice early lead on the rest of the competition, but they'll have to continue winning at this pace to stay in contention.
ArSeNaL DiGGz (25-10) is ranked #4, while
A Beast has performed well enough at 12-1 to grab 5th place.
Now it's time to drop the puck for the first time this season on the NHL 10 Arena!
Blackhawks-88 so far leads the competition with a record of 15 wins and just 3 losses -- including a 13-game winning streak. At this point, he's accumulated a 400 XP lead on second place
Blues Are Cup Bound. Blues Are Cup Bound has also played well so far, starting 13-4, and will likely contend for a top rank throughout the season.
Flames#1 comes in at third place with a 14-4 record. Just to get an idea of how close it is, Flames trails Blues Are Cup Bound by about 20 XP and leads #4 ranked
The Detroit Danglers by just 12 XP! The Detroit Danglers is currently 9-1 and has won his previous two games.
Dirties, who has barely broken so far with a 16-13 record, is ranked #5 and will, if nothing else, have the opportunity to hang on to that spot if he can turn some of those losses around.
That's it for this week's GameBattles Sports update! We're happy to have expanded our coverage on to these newer, fan-favorite titles. We welcome those FIFA and NHL fans who will be following us this season, and invite you all to check back in the coming weeks for continual updates. Good luck to everyone during the season, and be sure not to miss next week's update!
