Welcome to another GameBattles Sports Arenas update! On the verge of football season, the Madden NFL 10 ladder is really starting to heat up, and activity is sure to be high over the next few weeks. Meanwhile, the Fight Night Round 4 standings are shaking up a little bit -- with only a few weeks left in the season. However, it's the MLB 09: The Show All Star Championship Ladder that really steals the spotlight this week! Playoffs are underway, and in a few short weeks a champion will be crowned -- and awarded $10,000 in cash.

Let's start with the Fight Night Round 4 Ladder. As expected, Team PINTO remains in first place for another week with a 27-3 record. MeanMachine was also able to stand pat over the last week, and remains #2 with a 60-18 record. However, GET SMACKED has won two (now 17-6) in a row to steal third place from sYntrofia.Lukester (17-4). PROTECT YA NECK remains in 5th place with an 11-1 record. Further down in the standings, A-M- is making some noise. Undefeated so far in 9 matches, A-M- trails the Top 5 by just 200 XP. The season ends September 31st!

On the Madden NFL 10 Ladder, anticipation is surging throughout the competitors! Football fans can not wait for the opening kickoff, and to see their home teams take the field in hopes of a great season. Now for the standings: LeGeNd is the current #1 player, and has a 400 XP cushion over #2. Legend has won 53 matches and lost only 6, and has won 17 straight games. Camp 8, the #2 ranked player, has strung nine straight wins to put himself in contention for the #1 spot. At 46-7, Camp 8 has impressed and hopes to have a chance to surpass Legend in the coming weeks. Oakland Blazers in 2010 is now ranked #3 with a 45-10 record. He has won one match since losing LeGeNd on August 30th. Black Hole (41-8) has won 6 in a row and is within a few wins of surpassing Oakland Blazers. This week's #5: JIGG NATION (29-7).

Now, onto the MLB 09: The Show All Star Championship Ladder Playoffs! The playoff tournament began on September 3rd with the Top 128 players qualifying for the tournament. Round two was played on September 8th, and narrowed the field to just 32 teams remaining. Mementomori3, the #1 seed, defeated #128 Thunderstruck and #65 Chi-Town Band to move into the third round. Joining him in said third round will be: #3 LincCityCarolines, #4 SuperMario, #5 Good Luck, #6 I am The Show, #7 KCRoyals, #18 Blueice8157, and several more.
