As a bonus, in this weekly article, we'll keep you updated on the top players from MLB '09: The Show, Madden NFL 10, and Fight Night Round 4! So, let's jump right in!

Madden NFL 10 was released just last week, and already has gamers around the world competing for the top spot on GameBattles' Madden NFL 10 Arena. Meanwhile, things have continued to heat up on the MLB 09: The Show All-Star Championship and Fight Night Round 4 Ladders. Below is a brief breakdown of all of the current standings!

Let's jump right into it with Madden NFL 10. After just a week of battling it out on the grid iron, Big Vanilla earthquake has captured first place with a record of 25 wins and 6 losses. However, his lead is only a mere 45 XP over second place Papi183Bad, who has won 33 games while losing 9. One more win could propel him into first place. It should also be mentioned that Papi has is tied for the most wins so far this season. Get Like Me holds third place, for the time being. With a record of 23-8, he has amassed 1,387 XP, but is also in jeopardy of being passed -- by 4th place Camp 8 (19-5). In fact, roughly 100 XP -- which, at this point in the season is only one or two wins -- seperates first place from fourth. Oakland Blazers holds the #5 position, going 22-5 so far this season. BL4CK H0L3, the #8 team, has won 13 straight games -- quite a rebound from an 0-2 start. It is the largest win streak on the ladder so far.

In the MLB 09: The Show All-Star Championship LadderSquall Digga has climbed three ranks and now is on top of the standings with a record of 55-10, thanks in part to an 11 game winning streak. He now holds a 150 XP lead over KC's Finest, the #2 ranked player. However, KC's Finest also had an impressive improvement in rank, climbing from 6th place to 2nd, and now has won 44 of 49 games. Krazy 8s has won six games in a row, and is now 50-13. He sits just 125 XP behind KC's Finest. The current #4 ranked player is an interesting one: Curse of Aroid. Curse of Aroid has by far the most wins on the ladder with 100 even, but has also lost 40 times throughout the season. One could say that he is a "streaky player," and they might be right -- Curse of Aroid has won 8 in a row. Rounding out the Top 5 is last week's #2 ranked player, Th3xNiK3 o KiNg. Despite a fairly dramatic fall in rank, he has still been impressive in 45 wins. He has lost just 8 times this season.

The competition is also boiling in the ring on Fight Night Round 4. Team PINTO is still ranked #1 with a 26-3 record, but his lead is slowly diminishing. MeanMachine, the #2 ranked player, won two more fights last week to push himself to within 400 XP of first place. The rest of the Top 5 is status quo: sYntrofia.Lukester (17-4, #3), GET SMACKED (16-6, #4), and PROTECT YA NECK (11-1, #5). Still, the season is far from over, and several undefeated fighters will be making runs towards playoff positions. IM A BEAST and DZ53 are both undefeated with 4 wins, and are tied for the #15 spot. Luke jdyjhyj and Knock Out Blow are two newer competitors who, along with a handful of others, have won all three fights they've participated in.

All three of these ladders have blossomed with talent since the start of the season. Each ladder is incredibly close from top to bottom, and as we near the end of August everyone is going to be bringing their "A" game. Still, that doesn't mean it's too late to get into the game -- all three arenas are still available for registration. Be sure to do so now, before you get left in the dust!
