How to get a match running

hey im just starting out on gamebattles for gears of war and im not sure how to challenge other clans or accept challenges if you can help me out this would be awesome.

Example: Go to the ladder page http://gearsofwar.xbox360.gamebattles.com/ladders.php

click on a clan you would like to challenge or check into, on the top right you see challenge this clan > click that and then complete the challenge template giving them enough time to respond.
