Was thinking a bit more about this.

Should be a Rule, That the Entry must have Their name on it, to help prevent Ripped tags from being entered.
Should have Size limits, Min and Max.
Should have them Quote the Link, Like in my entry so its easy for you to make thread. (Not a Must but will save you time and effort)

Yeah I like that.. I'll do that next time. From now on out it will also be no pre-mades. I kind of forgot to put that in this time, but it's ok :D Already had a bunch of people enter, it should go okay!

you shouldn't have to put text on a signature if you don't want to.
if you have proof of a PSD, you can show it if someone rips it.

Yes, Putting text on a ripped sig, is quite easy, but it helps to spot rips when the person adding the text can't do it correctly.

And PSD are obtainable. People do give out PSD. Granted text doesn't go with every design, it will help prevent some ripped entries

from being entered.

i would just set the text to soft light and hide it as much as possible.. sometimes i rarely dont want to use text but when that happens i still want my name on my stuff so i know its mine.. so i guess it kinda looks like a watermark.. because some arent even noticeable but i still know its there...

Rules from now on:

-Minimum and Maximum sig sizes, always.
-MUST have SOTW #??? in text somehwere
-No premades
-Once you have 1 entry, you are not allowed to re-enter a different sig
-SAVE YOUR PSD's. If questions come up about your sig being ripped, you will have to provide your PSD or your disqualified.

Still thinking of more..

I Think Changing Your Entry is fine imo. As for the Text, Name or SOTW should suffice.

Changing your entry is fine really, but I've had to change like 5-10 people's entries so far, it's just getting super annoying. May have a possible of 1 entry change only.

As for the SOTW being in the sig, I'm not exactly sure on. There needs to be some kind of proof in somebodies sig that THEY made it.. I may scratch that one. SOTW is a contest to help users improve their skills and to have some bragging rights, there is no tangible prize, so I'm just going to trust the users that they aren't ripping. If questions come up, you will be asked to provide a .PSD though. Which I think is fair enough.. everyone agree?

Don't Think Gimp can save in .PSD Format but can open in .PSD format images. Not 100% sure as ive never used Gimp. Agree with You about the Showing the .PSD if asked.

Maybe we can Do this also? Just an Idea. Maybe the Winner of each week can be made into a tutorial to help out the community? I would be willing to write the tuts if the creator doesn't want to.

Hey good luck to everyone that enters and has entered.

This is my first SOTW contest so hopefully I do a decent job at the end of voting.

Also I agree with the "Show .PSD" rule to stop cheaters, and I'm not sure how Gimp users would show theirs. I'm not familer with Gimp, but I think what Celtic said is right. You have to save it in .xyf .

i don't really like the SOTW text on the signature idea.

if you have the psd, and can show proof that you made it, it should be fine if something comes up.

Oh, Just Thought of Something that Might help You out a bit More Baisc. In the Thread Title of SOTW, You Should add the Theme in the Tittle.

Example Given

SOTW#1 Gaming: Entry Thread.

As I'm seeing people didn't take the time to read the Theme on the First Page.

As For Your Idea, It would be the same as Mine to make a tutorial out of the winning sig.

Yeah sorry guys, I'm really busy weekends.. I'm going to start making SOTW start and end on Sundays from now on, since I have more free time... Should go smoother. Voting is up and so is new SOTW!
