Once you put a Spartan into a vehicle or if they take over a Covenant vehicle, is it possible to take them out. I have tried, but I haven't figured out how(if its even possible).

No, i dont think its possible. Because i wanted to kill some of my men that had low health and build better ones, but there is no option to do that, the only way i could do it was to use my prophet/mac-blast

The only way to get them out is if the vehicle is if it is destroyed.

Why would you want them out? It basically gives them another health bar. Once the vehicle is destroyed, the spartan comes out.

Do the spartans make the vehicle itself stronger? I'm sure I read somewhere that it improves enemy vehicles which have been jacked, does it work the same for hornets/scorpions etc?

Yes. ^ Any vehicle it can get into.
